Skills Per Level
Learning a language is a process that requires repeated, daily exposure: it needs long-term commitment from both students and parents. The success of WIKA’Y GALING! is anchored on teachers who engage children at the center and parents who support their child’s learning at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much are your fees?
Our WIKA’Y GALING! online Filipino program is for children age 7 and up. Students are given daily activities to build vocabulary, grammar and comprehension skills. The program includes twice-a-week sessions (45 minutes each) with a teacher via videoconference. Monthly fees are as low as Php 2,800 per month.
How many sessions?
Small group classes are held twice a week. On other days of the week, the teacher assigns asynchronous activities such reading a book, accomplishing worksheets, or writing paragraphs for submission and checking. This ensures daily exposure to Filipino which is critical to helping students be fluent in the language.
How many students per class?
It depends on the student’s level and chosen schedule, but the average is 4-5 students. Having classmates increases a child’s interest in learning.
What is the assessment for?
The 45-minute teacher-administered test determines the child’s vocabulary, grammar and comprehension skills and helps us place him or her in the proper WIKA’Y GALING! level. Parents receive an assessment report.
What are the available schedules?
We will inform you of the proposed class schedule, based on your preference and common time with classmates in the same level, after assessment.
How many months is the program? How quickly are they expected to learn Filipino?
Learning any language takes time. Progress depends on the receptiveness of the child and attitude towards learning Filipino. We highly encourage our students to stay in the program for at least 6 months to see significant results especially in comprehension and writing.
How do you teach Filipino?
We use the four-pronged approach to reading instruction: love of reading, development of critical thinking, grammar and oral language skills, and transfer or exploring more complex reading materials.
